Our ambassadors

Faced with environmental issues on a daily basis, Quiksilver and Roxy riders play an important role, either personally or with the Group's backing, actively supporting its long-standing efforts to preserve the mountain and marine environments that represent our «playgrounds». Quiksilver is fortunate to have its ambassadors, acting as spokespeople for the group’s commitment on the ground. They include Kelly Slater, Jeremy Flores, Mathieu Crepel, Kjersti Buaas, Lee-Ann Curren, Samantha Davies, Alain Riou … 
These athletes take part in events aimed at raising funds for other projects, such as Kelly Slater and «Un maillot pour la vie» (a shirt for life), or Lee-Ann Curren and Surf&Hope. They also contribute to projects run in collaboration with Quiksilver. Every season, Mathieu Crepel and Kjersti Buaas try their hand at designing, as they join forces with our teams to develop pro-models in recycled polyester, which they then wear in snowboarding competitions all over the world.

Tom Frager

Tom Frager

Tom Frager is a great surfer, but also and above all, an accomplished musician.  His album Better Days, released in 2009, featured the hit single ‘Melody’.

 After a childhood spent in Africa, it was in Guadeloupe where Tom discovered his passion for surfing: becoming 10 times local champion, 3 times finalist in the French Championships and European finalist as well as numerous great results on the professional circuit.

 Tom is an ambassador of the Quiksilver Foundation.  In particular he supports the ‘Heart of the Forest’ campaign, which works on water protection projects.

 “In my opinion. Surfing and ecology are inseparable.  The respect for the ocean is the basis of surfing […] for us it’s about a lifestyle, almost a philosophy.”

 This way of life, in harmony with nature, shines through on certain songs on his album, “Carnet de Route”, including a duet with the great Tiken Jah Kakoli a radical in the vein of Bob Marley.
