Our ambassadors

Faced with environmental issues on a daily basis, Quiksilver and Roxy riders play an important role, either personally or with the Group's backing, actively supporting its long-standing efforts to preserve the mountain and marine environments that represent our «playgrounds». Quiksilver is fortunate to have its ambassadors, acting as spokespeople for the group’s commitment on the ground. They include Kelly Slater, Jeremy Flores, Mathieu Crepel, Kjersti Buaas, Lee-Ann Curren, Samantha Davies, Alain Riou … 
These athletes take part in events aimed at raising funds for other projects, such as Kelly Slater and «Un maillot pour la vie» (a shirt for life), or Lee-Ann Curren and Surf&Hope. They also contribute to projects run in collaboration with Quiksilver. Every season, Mathieu Crepel and Kjersti Buaas try their hand at designing, as they join forces with our teams to develop pro-models in recycled polyester, which they then wear in snowboarding competitions all over the world.

Samantha Davies

Samantha Davies

Born in United Kingdom, Samantha has spent most of her life on the water. She was brought up on the water and was sailing before she could even walk. Sam entered the public eye during the Vendee Globe 2009 finishing 4th, first woman in the race. During the months spent in solitary on Roxy, She showed her considerable spirit  and joy of sailing. Her style and generous sharing of the most beautiful and arduous of all the solo races, touched and seduced the public. Highly respected by her peers, she has stridently entered the ranks of the great sailors of this world. Water is her life. Through her acclaim, she strives to broaden peoples awareness to the importance of protecting water resources.So, Samantha is actively engaged in several associations; ambassador of the Surfrider Foundation and of the Blue Project, this year, she has participated to the Blue Mile Race as well as the Soundwalk Project for the World Oceans Day. Samantha is also member of ANSEL, SAS and Bretagne Vivante.
