Quiksilver Foundation ambassadors in Senegal

Stéphanie Gilmore ( 4x Surfing World Champion), Alain Riou (Pro Surfer) & Tom Frager (singer) , 3 major ambassadors of the Quiksilver Foundation have visited the Anambe village in Senegal. For the past 2 years, the association Cœur de Fôret has worked to develop a sucessful economic model in this village thanks to the support of Quiksilver Initiative via the funds raised during the « Green Campaign ».

During this exciting trip, the 3 ambassadors met the locals and saw on site how the village has evolved since the arrival of Cœur de Forêt.

Skeleton Sea

Present in the Quiksilver Foundation tent during the Roxy Pro in last July, Skeleton Sea is an artist group who is really involved for the protection of a clean ocean. In order to make people aware of the situation, they choose art and overall sculpture to express their feelings. The Roxy Pro was the occasion to present one of their pieces, the Albatros, entirely made with trash found on the beaches and in the ocean. The Albatros is now going around the world following the volvo ocean race.

Besides, Xandi, one of the artists of Skeleton Sea, created during the competition a Roxy mermaid with flip flops found on beaches! She is currently exhibited in Spain.
